Hello, I’m Joanna Grabka, the founder of Fungi Med. Though born in Poland, I’ve called Portugal home for over a decade, I consider myself a true European citizen. From a young age, I’ve always been surrounded by the forest and its rich bounty, with mushrooms holding a special place in my heart. Their magic, whether in traditional sauces, dried forms, tinctures, or pickled, has been a staple in my family and among neighbours for as long as I can remember. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in high-demand environments, including major corporations, countless business trips, and leadership roles, all while maintaining an active lifestyle through sports and physical activities. Yet, no matter how busy life became, staying close to nature—particularly the forest and the practice of cultivating mushrooms—has always supported my health and performance goals. From Lion’s Mane, which helps me stay sharp and focused, to Reishi, which aids in stress management and relaxation, mushrooms have been an integral part of my well-being.
