Our products contain an exceptionally pure, organic, medicinal form of alcohol—Ethanol, which is used to produce medicinal drugs and homeopathic remedies!

Ethanol concentration creates the perfect environment for extracting the potent phenolic compounds from our Functional Mushrooms, compared to weaker alcohol. Later, the alcohol concentration is gradually reduced during our dual extraction process. The amount of alcohol present in 5 drops is tiny, compared to a very sweet banana!

The distinction between alcohol and ethanol is pretty simple: Ethanol, or ethyl alcohol, is the only type of alcohol that you can drink without seriously harming yourself —and then only if it hasn't been denatured or doesn't contain toxic impurities. Ethanol is sometimes called grain alcohol because it is the main type of alcohol produced by grain fermentation.
Food Grade Ethanol contains only ethyl alcohol that contains zero additives (denaturants). With the exception of "vodka" or "neutral grain spirits", beverage alcohol always contains other ingredients also called congeners, natural or otherwise, which provide flavor, aroma, color, and character.
Given that the amount of tincture taken is very small, the amount of alcohol consumed is negligible. (…) when we use a herbal tincture, it remains a very safe and effective way of delivering our favourite herbal remedies.
Ethanol in herbal medicinal products for children (…) safety data from more than 50,000 children in non-interventional pediatric studies with these products, as well as data from routine clinical use in several million children, were assessed. No evidence of the involvement of the ethanol content in any adverse drug reactions was found. This allows us to conclude that these herbal medicinal products are safe in the age groups for which they are authorized or registered and that the present labeling is adequate to allow for their safe use in the pediatric population.
Ethanol has been used as an excipient in medications for decades; it is used as a solvent to keep active ingredients in solution and also functions as a preservative. The amount contained in medications is usually small and unlikely to approach concentrations where it may have an effect similar to consuming alcoholic beverages.
Pharmaceutical alcohol or ethanol is a very pure form of alcohol that is used to produce medicinal drugs, disinfectants and homeopathic products.
Moderate ethanol intake is associated with nutritional, medicinal, and cognitive benefits. (...) Ethanol ingestion at low levels has been associated with medicinal benefits.
Why only few, distinguished brands are using Ethanol in Europe?

Due to its rarity in Europe and its higher cost compared to standard alcohols found in supplements, this premium ethanol is not easily accessible. However, rest assured, this does not mean the alcohol content in your tincture is excessively high. Through our carefully crafted, unique second extraction process, we gently reduce the alcohol level, drawing out the full potential of the mushrooms in a manner reminiscent of ancient, time-honored methods.

Using ethanol doesn’t mean your tincture contains excessive alcohol. Through our dual extraction process, the alcohol concentration is reduced, ensuring optimal extraction of the mushrooms’ beneficial properties. The final alcohol content is carefully maintained at 25-30% for direct consumption.”

When you add the tincture to a hot liquid (such as tea, coffee, or another beverage), the alcohol will start to evaporate due to the heat. However, it won’t necessarily evaporate completely or quickly unless the drink is quite hot. To make sure you’re still benefiting from the tincture, it might be better to let the drink cool slightly before adding the tincture. This way, the alcohol will still evaporate, but you minimize the risk of degrading the active compounds due to excessive heat. If you want to ensure alcohol is completely evaporated, using one of the methods like a warm water bath, would be more effective.

Place the tincture bottle (with the cap removed) into a pot of warm water. Make sure the water is not too hot—ideally between 38° – 49°C. Allow the tincture to sit in the warm water, stirring occasionally. The alcohol will begin to evaporate, leaving behind a more concentrated extract. This is a gentle method that preserves the delicate compounds of the tincture. Caution: Avoid using direct heat, as high temperatures could destroy beneficial compounds.

Undenatured Food Grade Ethanol is a pure form of ethyl alcohol, free from any additives or denaturants, and is processed with the utmost care to preserve food-safe standards for use in products intended for consumption or direct skin application. Known as “Ethanol,” this remarkable alcohol is unique among its peers, as it is the only type considered safe for both ingestion and topical use. The terms “undenatured” and “non-denatured” are interchangeable, both signifying the absence of harmful chemicals, ensuring its purity and safety.
